SurTec is active in more than 40 countries, wherever metal or other surfaces are produced to specifications. SurTec offers competent solutions for the thorough cleaning of sensitive alloys, for the matt pickling and anodizing of aluminum, for the reliable galvanizing of electroplated steel, for the electropolishing of stainless steel or the decorative chrome plating of plastics – in all applications for surface cleaning, corrosion protection and finishing. The company's tailor-made products and processes are supplied direct to customers in almost all sectors of industry. SurTec, founded in 1993 in a management buy-out from the Unilever Corporation, has many years of experience in surface treatment. With about 500 highly qualified associates throughout the world and high-grade products often developed and produced to meet customers' individual requirements, SurTec is a strong brand combining top quality and performance with environmental compatibility.

Success with environmentally-friendly processes
It was not until truly recyclable cleaners came to market that it was possible to replace solvent-based industrial cleaners. For decades the very idea of dispensing with chromates for corrosion protection was unthinkable – today, trivalent passivations are standard. SurTec broke new ground in both fields and grew as the new processes became more and more successful. Scientists at the research and development centers in Germany and Brazil are working on new alloys, passivations, cold sealing systems and sealers that are allergen-free, efficient and easy to use. Parts treated using SurTec technology are not only to be found in the home or on the roads, they also fly through the stratosphere or float on the seas
